About the Role
In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality imaging services to patients receiving orthopaedic and physiatry care. You’ll use your clinical skills and keen attention to detail to perform X-rays, Fluoroscopy, and related imaging procedures, all while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and respectful patient experience.
We’re also looking for someone who enjoys contributing beyond the technical scope - supporting the development and improvement of clinic procedures and bringing a quality-focused mindset to accreditation and compliance processes.
What You’ll Do
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and Fluoroscopy
- Ensure patients are well-positioned and comfortable throughout their procedures
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment in line with safety protocols
- Accurately document procedures and maintain up-to-date records
- Collaborate with physicians, physiatrists, and the broader care team to support excellent diagnostic outcomes
- Contribute to maintaining accreditation standards and reviewing internal policies and procedures
What You Bring
- Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology or Combined Lab & X-Ray Technology from an accredited institution
- Active or eligible registration with ACMDTT or ACCLXT
- Sound knowledge of imaging procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy clinical environment
- Lab tech experience and/or previous work in an interventional or physiatry setting are assets
